Word For Mac Won't Print Page Range
I did a mail merge to Word from an Excel sheet to create a list of mailing envelopes. That worked fine but I couldn't print a page range. All, Selection, and Current options all worked fine. Then I chose to view all hidden formatting and field codes.

Although the later has had some attention to Word 2013 content, the loss of basic word processing features, and no backwards compatibility with Pages ’09 — make it useless. LibreOffice has kept pace with changes in Word 2013 content, and in fact, it is one of their save formats.
I can't print a range of pages from a 102-page Word 2010 mail merged document. Word starts printing all of the pages before I cancel the print job. I have the same problem in both the.doc and docx formats.

If you're doing two-sided printing, you can also elect to print just the odd or even pages. Choose Copies & Pages from the drop-down menu to return to the main Print dialog box screen. TIPs • You can preview a document printout onscreen by choosing File > Print Preview. It's often a good idea to request a print preview prior to printing. You can use it to ensure that page breaks, margins, and the like are as you expect. • To print the complete document using the current print settings, click the Print icon on the Standard toolbar. Printing commences immediately—without displaying the Print dialog box.
Documents created in Microsoft Office for Mac are generally compatible with Microsoft Office for PC. Both Office for Mac and Office for PC are Microsoft products and, in most cases, you simply double-click on the Mac Office document to open the document in Office on the PC. However, in some cases, the document created on the Mac may not open on the PC. In these cases, you can save the document in a format that will be recognized by Microsoft Word on the PC. Save the document in the “Rich Text Format” and the document that was created on the Mac will open in Word on the PC.

• If you save a document after printing it, the print settings are saved, too. This makes it easy for you to repeat a complex print job. • To share a Word document with a friend or colleague who doesn't have Word, click the Save As PDF button rather than Print. A cross-platform PDF file will be generated that can be opened in Preview or Adobe Reader. The recipient will be able to read the document onscreen and print it, if desired.
I didn’t worry about this. Now, my friends previously used PrintChef in OS 9, which would reorder the pages and also stretch the text to fill out that extra top/bottom margin. Unfortunately PrintChef has not been ported to OS X, and at this point, it seems unlikely that it ever will be. My task was to find a substitute for PrintChef, as running OS 9 was no longer a feasible alternative (apparently it keeps crashing the computer). Is another major booklet program, apparently quite sophisticated, but my friends have an equally sophisticated printer with a complicated duplex process that conflicted with ClickBook. Instead, I turned to the three OS X booklet programs that I knew about. The Booklet Programs You will need to download and install at least one of these three programs.
Doug Robbins - Word MVP dkr[atsymbol]mvps[dot]org. You need to specify the Section number of the 'pages' that you want to print by inserting s before the number s1, s3, s7-s10 etc. -- Hope this helps. P4s7 is the fourth page in section 7 of the document. According to the dialog box this can be done with specific page numbers as well as page ranges ie. P2s4, p3s4, p4s4 or p2s4 - p4s4. Specifying the over all document page number did not work for me. Ie if page 2 of section 4 was the 8th over all page in the document specifying page 8 printed nothing. FormatFighter wrote: I just had this issue. For me the problem was due to section breaks in my document.
