Now what you could do is buy a pair of speakers and find yourself an external display. Then go to Circuity City or Best Buy, or GameStop if they have it, and buy the 360 VGA adapter.
Sorry you are wrong about vga not doing 1080i. I used to have my xbox hooked up to my dell monitor with the microsoft vga converter and that was the only way to get 1080P out of the xbox at that time. If the monitor also supports VGA, you could use that for your Wii. This is the setup I use for my Xbox 360, and it works quite well. I have a Dell 22' monitor and it works great for this.

The latest release of the driver includes support, and I'll be updating the USB information section of this website shortly. I've not yet checked the wireless receiver for compatibility. Other info Sadly, my PowerMac has died, which as my primary development machine has slowed progress. I have added a version of the driver without support for the Guitar Hero controller, to allow the Guitar Hero for Mac game to work (it attempts to access hardware directly, which doesn't work if a real driver has claimed the device). Help If you find the driver does not work for you, please attempt and find out as much as you can about the device, preferably using the Apple 'USB Prober' application provided with the developer tools, but the output of System Profiler for the device may be enough.

MS sells a VGA cable that I used to use to connect my Xbox to my monitor until I got my LG tv. WiiRocks66 I don't think they sold such a cable for the original Xbox; those were all third-party, most notably the Neoya X2VGA. The Xbox 360 is a different matter, and he's not talking about that.
